Easy Interview – Overall Negative Experience – No – Thu, 25 Oct 2018
Interviewed Sep 2,018 in Washington, DC (took 1 days)
I was being interviewed by 3 people, one of which was late by 10 or so minutes. They started off by asking about my background, which I went into detail about. Then they shifted into talking about the job responsibilities and how they didn’t have anything “set in stone” and how they’re adding new responsibilities as time goes on. The manager who was interviewing me was strange. She was lounging on the couch and rocking back and forth as she talked, seemed very unprofessional to me. After they BRIEFLY described the job one of the other interviewers very nervously asked me what skills of mine could transfer over to this new job, to which I answered well. The guy who arrived in late didn’t even know who I was or hadn’t even seen my resume. As I was talking, he asked his colleague sitting next to him if he had an extra resume he could see. It felt like a joke to be honest. The entire interview lasted approximately 15 minutes! It seemed like they had already hired someone they knew and we’re just keeping up appearances to say that they interviewed many people. They didn’t ask me any other questions besides what my background was. I was the one asking all the questions for them as I wanted to learn more about the job! I was contacted by a JLL recruiter literally 30 MINUTES after I had submitted my application who told me that I would be a perfect fit for this position and that I had a great chance of getting hired. Unfortunately, management had other ideas. Overall, I felt that this particular JLL team was unprofessional, unprepared, and dishonest. Definitely NOT a group of people I would like to work for!
